I was a 38 year old female adoptee in search of any living birth relatives. I had always known I was adopted. I searched for my birth-relatives for 2-3 years before having any success. When my adoptive mother gave me my adoption decree, with my original birthname printed on it, I had a real starting point.


Facts about me:

  • I was born Hilda Elizabeth Moshier on May, 2, 1962, at Vassar Bros Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY (Dutchess County).

  • Adopted by Barbara and Richard Dingee and renamed Dana Marie Dingee.

  • Birthmother was an unwed teenager, 15 years old at the time of my birth.

  • Adoption was finalized on December 12, 1962, by attorney's Reed & Reed.

  • Grew up in Hyde Park, NY.

  • Moved to Raleigh, NC in 1983.

  • Married Jim Conner on June 28, 1991, becoming Dana Marie Conner. Divorced Jim Conner in October of 2005.

  • United with birthfamily August of 1999.

  • Married Michael Pearce on January 6, 2006, becoming Dana Marie Pearce.
